"The subject of my art has always been to describe the feeling of a certain aspect of consciousness. This was true even begore I began painting icons. This idea has evolved from an exploration of the self, as in my earlier work, to the contemplation of the Divine in my icons. This wasn't an easy jump. A major illness forced me to look beyond my own life. And indeed, there were certain marvelous experiences that pointed to God's Hand at work in my life that essentially led me to my present path. I am glad, because I absolutely love the never-ending story that I have found myself in, and thoroughly delight in painting images, mainly of the Madonna, that help me meditate in a clearer manner about the world and guide me to being a better self."
Christina paints her award-winning icons in her home studio. Her delicate and healing artistic style has made her art highly sought after by churches, hospitals, and numerous celebrities. Christina holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Trinity University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington.
