 Barbara Steele Thibodeaux
Barbara Steele Thibodeaux lived in the Louisiana and Mississippi areas for 20 years, and was greatly influenced by the rich hertitage and culture of that area. She is self-taught, and has a naive style that delights her collectores from all corners of the US, Canada, and Europe.
Born and educated in Ohio, Thibodeaux holds a degree in Interior Design. Thibodeaux began painting in 1990, and has sold many originals and lithographs worldwide.
Barbara Steele Thibodeaux specializes in works done in a Naive style, mostly concentrating on scenes from the past...American Primitive Portraits, Biblical Verses, scenes from the Old South, and other traditional folkart. In addition to being owned by private collectors worldwide, her work has been shown in Galleries such as:

Acadian Village, Lafayette, Louisiana
The Persian Boy Gallery, French Quarter, New Orleans, Louisiana

She enjoys painting the sometimes whimsical subjects of long ago, allowing the painting to go wherever it may...not always knowing where it will end up.
