 Susanna Cohen
Susanna has been practicing the art of calligraphy for over 30 years and specializes in writing Jewish wedding documents known as ketubahs. Her educational background includes specific training in Hebrew calligraphy and she holds a degree in Fine Arts from University of California at Berkeley.
Susanna approaches her art with great deliberation and preparation. On the process of her calligraphy, Susanna states: "Before beginning to do a calligraphic artwork, a moment is aside to simply be in the presence of clearness. The canvas is the underlying unity with its open space that contains everything potential. There are times when the artist must truly ask who is doing this work. Being available and yet also out of the way as the process flows is the challenge, making this work an active meditation in mindfulness."
