 Haydn Larson
All things are possible in the mystical world of sculptor Haydn Larson, who blends uncanny realism with an offbeat imagination. Fueled by distant travels, cultures, and Hollywood movie sets, he creates stone adornments for home and garden that appear to move and breathe.
Haydn is a native Texan and has been an artist for over 30 years. He studied Putal (ceremonial clay doll) making in India and was the chief sculptor on movies such as Dune and Conan the Destroyer. Every one of his creations has a story and a colorful history. Haydn's handmade work brims with the magic that accompanies creation. "May each spark humor, dreams hope and intimate exchanges wherever they may reside."
Combining a lifetime of sculpting experience with skills he learned in India, Haydn is able to capture the spirit of the piece, producing an animation in stone unlike any other. He begins by modeling a sculpture with clay which is then molded, hand cast in a blend of local limestone then stained with delicate washes in his studio. The timeless quality of Haydn's designs, as well as the unique, individual finishes, insures everlasting enjoyment for you and your friends. All creations are copyrighted, signed and dated by the artist.
