Teresa del Rito

Unlike many of the traditional Hispanic artists of today, Teresa actually uses materials "found nearly at my doorstep" just as the old Santeros were forced to do in the days when materials of any kind were very scarce. The result is an authentic feeling of the old folk art just as we see it collected in the museums today. Teresa has been a student of cultural anthropology for 30 years. Mythology and Jungian archetypes influence her work. She has studied at the University of California, Berkeley. She shows in numerous galleries throughout the United States and has participated in countless shows and exhibitions.
