Isaac Takavada

Isaac lives and works in Zimbabwe, Africa. He was born in Harare, the capitol city of Zimbabwe into a family of eight boys. In 1989 he joined a sculpture training program to keep in touch with trends in the world of art.

He received encouragement, inspiration and instruction from three well-known Zimbabwaen artists, Pater Mandala, Percy Mukeda and Gift Muza.

Isaac's preference in art is the creative. He feels strongly that in order to be a 'real artist', a high level of energy must go into his work.

His greatest ambition is to teach his son, Gregory to carve.
