The Colors of Feng Shui, continued...
Wood colours such as green or light green symbolise Wealth in the year of the Dragon. This is because the element that controls the self (Metal controls Wood), symbolises Wealth in the study of the 4-Pillars of Destiny, says De Nobrega.
Blue (Water element) symbolises output, creativity, production, and invention during a Metal year. "If you want to have success in these areas, perhaps water is what you need," she suggests.
She counsels, "As this year's Dragon is already very strong, the element EARTH which symbolises the 'resource element', is not needed -- too much of something is not good either!
De Nobrega concludes: "The idea when using any colours - whether for Feng Shui or otherwise - is to keep a balance. Excess in any form creates imbalance, and imbalance creates bad Feng Shui."
About Feng Shui Professionals
Feng Shui Professionals (FSP) is a group of people who are dedicated to the study, practice and promotion of authentic, classical Feng Shui. FSP believes it is important that the origins and formulas remain intact, to facilitate further study and extrapolation into a modern day environment, and more importantly into the Western culture. FSP endeavours to keep all information true to its origin. The group undertakes ongoing study into the origins of Feng Shui and its practical application, from its Sifu - Grand Master Yap Cheng Hai - who uses the ancient Chinese classical texts, and where relevant, more recent works. The intention is to retain, use and pass on the information in the purest possible format.
