 8. USE THE NINE BASIC CURESIn Feng Shui, although there are many solutions and cures to remedy different problems, there basically are nine main cures you can easily utilize to adjust the Feng Shui in your home: 1) lights/bright objects; 2) mirrors; 3) sound; 4) life force; 5) heavy objects; 6) color; 7) movement/mobile objects; 8) power/energy objects; 9) water. 9. HOUSE MAINTENANCE IS CRUCIAL Our homes are regarded as very sacred places in Feng Shui. They oversee and mirror many aspects of our lives, especially the quality of our health. So it is very important that we maintain our homes just as we maintain the hygiene and health of our bodies. All repairs, refurbishing, redecorating, and housework should be looked upon as a labor of love because each act of improvement is an opportunity for you to change and enhance the quality of your life. This doesn't mean that in order for you to have great Feng Shui you have to perform all the labor and housecleaning yourself (thank God!). It does mean that if you have the luxury to pay for these services, do it with pride, respect, and gratitude to the individuals who are providing the services in your home. On the other hand, make sure that you are happy with the service providers and that they are competent, qualified, and caring to your home and valuables. Hire domestic workers and contractors with the same level of standards and loving care you would use to find a nanny for your infant, a baby-sitter for your five-year-old, or a doctor for your surgery.
